stripfs

Stripfs is a file system abstraction to control a TP-Link Kasa HS300 powerstrip.

It is used to physically turn various systems on and off for cases where reboot commands or Wake-on-LAN will not work. This is done by writing/echoing 'on' or 'off' into a file, typically named with the device connected to that plug. The files can also be read to see the current on/off state, and it will return energy use stats.
